The Philadelphia PCGS Members Only Show was the first of several chances for coin collectors and coin dealers to submit coins to Professional Coin Grading Service for grading and encapsulation

(Santa Ana, California) – Professional Coin Grading Service (www.PCGS.com)held its PCGS Members Only Show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, seeing impressive crowds attend what is an exclusive, typically more intimate convention setting aimed at PCGS Collectors Club members and PCGS Authorized Dealers. Attendees had the opportunity to buy, sell, and trade among a diverse field of dealers as well as enjoy expedited submission of coins, banknotes, and more for PCGS encapsulation.

“It’s our first time in Philly in a couple of years, and the mood was overwhelmingly positive in the ‘City of Brotherly Love,’” remarked PCGS President Stephanie Sabin. “We weren’t necessarily surprised by the number of attendees who showed up at the event – our Northeastern shows usually do quite well given the higher concentration of collectors and dealers in that region of the country. But we were definitely amazed by the pace of action on the bourse floor and the number of grading submissions that came in. It’s indicative of both the continued strength of the overall coin market and the perennial demand for our grading and encapsulation services, which rank as the trusted gold standard in our industry.”

One of the highlights of the show was a private, invitation-only event at the Philadelphia Museum of the American Revolution. It helped kick off a bustling PCGS Members Only Show that saw strong numbers of PCGS Collectors Club members. The attending PCGS Authorized Dealers also had high impressions of the show, with Liz Coggan of Elizabeth Coggan Numismatics saying, “[The show] was so well run – smooth and seamless! I hope PCGS will choose to have additional East Coast events. From what I could see the submission volume seemed brisk.”

Richard Weaver of Delaware Valley Rare Coin Company, Inc., said “Everyone from PCGS was fantastic! We hope to attend more shows going forward.”

“The show's flawless setup provided convenience and a thoughtfully arranged layout,” noted Stack’s Bowers Galleries Consignment Director & Dealer Liaison Julie Abrams.

The next opportunities to submit coins directly to PCGS at coin shows will be found at the Whitman Baltimore Spring Expo, being held March 21-23, 2024, at the Baltimore Convention Center. Coins submitted for PCGS grading there can be conveniently picked up just a couple weeks later at the next PCGS Members Only Show, being held in Oxon Hill, Maryland, April 2-6, 2024, at the MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino.
