The Millennium Coin & Currency Set contains a Series 1999 $1 Federal Reserve Note (with serial number beginning with "2000"), a 2000 Mint State American Silver Eagle, and a 2000-D Sacagawea Dollar. The United States Mint produced a limited run of just 75,000 sets and sold them at an issue price of $39 each. Read more.
PCGS Set Registry Update
The region of Oultrejordain, known in Latin as Transjordan, was east of the Jordan River. Montreal, Hormuz, Sela, Tafilah, and Kerak were cities that all together existed in this region a little less than 900 years ago. Kerak, or Al-Karak, is home to the Kerak Castle, which was built in 1142 by Pagan the Butler and the King of Jerusalem known as Fulk. This structure stands today and was built atop a mountain that is known as a spur castle. Abdullah I bin Al-Hussein, who was part of the Hashemites (royal family), became the first Emir (monarch) of the British Protectorate in 1921. Al-Hussein continued his alliance with the British during World War II, and on May 25, 1946, he became King of Transjordan. On June 2, 1949, Transjordan was renamed the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which continues to be the official name of Jordan to the present day. PCGS has listed a set titled 1969 Jordan Silver Proof Set, which includes the coin displayed above depicting Hussein of Jordan and the city of Jerusalem on the reverse.
