1916 was the year when the Barber Half Dollar, Quarter, and Dime were replaced by newly designed coinage. The United States mint issued the new Walking Liberty Half Dollar, Standing Liberty Quarter, and Winged Liberty Head/Mercury Dime. These three designs are some of most cherished designs by coin collectors from all age groups. To celebrate the mints 100-year anniversary of these iconic issues. The West Point Mint struck all three denominations in 24K or .9999 fine gold.

The first issue released was the Winged Liberty Head/Mercury dime on April 21st, 2016 which weighs 1/10th of an ounce or 3.1 grams. The issue was extremely popular and sold out within minutes after the issue was released by The United States Mint. The total mintage was 125,000

Issued next was the Standing liberty Quarter, which was released on September 8th, 2016 and weighs 1/4th of an ounce or 7.76 grams. This issue did not sell out as quickly as the dime but sold very well. Total mintage was 91,752

The final issue was the Walking Liberty Half, released on November 17th, 2016, which weighs ½ of an ounce or 15.55 grams. Not as popular as the dime and quarter, but in terms of sales, this issue did well. Total mintage was 65,512

These coins were issued as a business strike and exhibit satin-like surfaces. Most of these coins will grade SP70 by PCGS and can be purchased at spot price plus an affixed premium.
