Ron Guth:

Judd 107 is a restrike of an 1839 Gobrecht Dollar in copper. Only one example has been located and it is believed to be unique. Missing from the Dr. Julius Korein Collection, now housed in the American Numismatic Society. The example illustrated above has a long, historic peidgree that goes back to the early part of the 20th century; it is currently part of the remarkable Simpson Collection of U.S. pattern coins.
