Ron Guth:

Judd 793a is an incongruous pairing of the reverse from a Two Cents coin and the reverse of an 1870 Standard Silver Twenty-Five Cents pattern. Saul Teichman at www.us.patterns.com calls this a "fantasy" piece. Only one example is known. To make this coin, Mint employees rolled copper amd silver together to form a bi-metallic alloy. Unfortunately, the metals did not bond very well, resulting in obvious laminations and peeling on both sides of the coin.
