Ron Guth:

Judd-792 is a Two-Cent piece struck in Nickel using Proof dies of the regular design for the year. In the past, this has been called a die trial, but pattern expert, Saul Teichman, suggests they were made for inclusion in complete, off-metal denomination sets that were sold by the Mint to collectors. Saul states"...fewer than 3 known"; we have images of two different examples, both PCGS PR65.
