Judd 1410 is a design for a Twenty Cent piece. The obverse is the Seated Liberty design that eventually appeared on circulation strikes and Proof Twenty Cent pieces in their first year of issue of 1875. However, the reverse is an unusual design where the denomination is presented as "1/5 of a Dollar" instead of the adopted version "Twenty Cents." Judd 1410's were struck in Nickel with a plain edge. In at least one instance, a Judd 1410 was presented as a the unique Judd 1409 (identical designs in aluminum), but the error was caught and fixed in later apoearances.
Researchers have identified four different Judd 1410's (see the PCGS CoinFacts Condition Census listed above). The finest is the PCGS PR66+CAM in the Simpson Collection.
