The Burnished 2014 Great Smoky Mountains 5 oz. Silver Quarter with a missing mint mark is very scarce. Around May of 2018, it was reported that 5 examples were discovered. Four of the examples discovered belonged to Modern Coin Mart who had submitted the coins for grading. Another coin, a fifth example, is said to have been submitted for grading by a different customer. The Burnished coins should have a “P” mint mark, while the Bullion coins should not have a “P”mint mark. Currently, the coins are very scarce, so collectors should keep an eye out for this coin, as it can command a substantial premium.
