The Kisatchie 5 oz. America the Beautiful Quarters were the second design issued in 2011 for the America the Beautiful Coin Program. All 5 oz. coins were struck in .999 silver planchets. The Mint also struck an Uncirculated Burnished Special Strike Kisatchie 5 oz. coin. However, the Mint State coins were only sold to Mint Authorized Purchasers and in return they sold them to collectors and the public. The Uncirculated Burnished Special Strike coins were sold to collectors and the public directly from the United States Mint.
The Kisatchie 5 oz. Mint State coins came in very nice condition. Finding MS69 examples should not be difficult. Only perfect MS70 examples appear to be very difficult to find.
